Lacrosse Drills - Fast Break Drill

This page focuses on fast break drills. This is a situation where an a middie has broken away and is racing down the field by himself (because his defender is too slow or tired to catch him). This will create a situation where there are 4 players (3 attackmen and 1 middie) facing only 3 defenders. It is a great opportunity to score if your team has the ball or it is a very difficult situation to defend against if your team does not have the ball. Since this situation occurs often in lacrosse, you must practice fast break drills frequently in order for offense and defense to know what to do.
